Hojo garden Daioen / Kennin-ji
Kenninji's Hojo garden “Daioen” is a dry landscape garden created by Kumakichi Kato (Uekuma) in 1940. This garden is characterized by a simple but magnificent landscape of white sand, green moss, and giant stones, and as its name suggests, it has a generous flavor. A memorial tower for Nobunaga Oda is located in the garden, giving it a historical flavor. The Daioen Garden, along with the Hojo of Kenninji Temple, is a space that offers tranquility and beauty to visitors.
