The former 4th Division Headquarters, now Miraiza Osaka Castle, is a historical building located in Osaka Castle Park. The building was completed in 1931 and initially served as the headquarters of the former Japanese Army's 4th Division. Built as the headquarters of the Imperial Army, the building is characterized by its brick exterior and neo-Gothic design, giving it a stately and majestic appearance. This gives it great historical value and makes it an important cultural asset for Osaka. After World War II, this building ceased to serve as a command post and was used for various purposes for some time. Later, the Osaka Castle Keep was reopened in 2017 after its potential as a tourist center was discovered. Today, under the name “Miraiza Osaka Castle,” the facility has become a popular destination for tourists. At Miraiza Osaka-jo, restaurants and souvenir stores are open to visitors to Osaka Castle. It also has an observation deck on the rooftop where visitors can enjoy views of Osaka Castle Park and the surrounding area.
