Seiryu-do / Genbudo Park
Seiryu-do Cave is characterized by columnar joints formed when lava from the eruption of Mount Futami cooled and solidified about 1.6 million years ago. Because of this geological feature, Seiryu-dong is known as a spot where visitors can feel the mystery of nature. In addition, the name Seiryu-dong is derived from “blue dragon,” one of the four Chinese deities that govern the four directions. Furthermore, Seiryu-do Cave is also a popular power spot for “prayers for success” and “wishful thinking” because the stones that seem to be about to fall down do not fall down easily.
