Chinju Hachiman-gu Shrine enshrines Hachiman God as the guardian deity of To-ji Temple and has a long history dating back to the Heian period. Chinju Hachiman-gu Shrine is located just inside the South Main Gate of To-ji Temple and features a beautiful vermilion-lacquered shrine pavilion. The shrine is a favorite destination for many visitors and tourists to To-ji Temple, especially during events such as Hatsumode and Setsubun.
