The Mausoleum of Emperor Kameyama stands in the southeast corner of the garden, where the remains of Emperor Kameyama, who had his bones separated according to his will, are interred. The mausoleum is currently under the control of the Imperial Household Agency. The mausoleum was restored with funds from Nishi Honganji Temple during the Emperor's Mausoleum Repair Project in the Shuryo period of the Bunkyu era.
