Nokyo-do / Nageire-do

The Nokyo-do Hall on Mt. Mitoku is a building that reflects the traditional Japanese architectural beauty and religious history of the area. This hall is located at the end of a steep mountain path from the foot of Mt. Mitoku and is designated as a National Important Cultural Property. The Nokyo-do is said to have been built in the early Edo period and features a simple but elegant wooden structure. The hall, which has been used by monks as a place to store sutras and offer prayers, exudes a serene atmosphere.
