Kannon-do Hall, located on Mt. Mitoku, is one of the most important architectural structures on the grounds of Sanbutsu-ji Temple, a famous temple in Tottori Prefecture. Like the “Deiri-do” built on the steep mountainside, this hall is characterized by its architecture that takes advantage of the harsh topography of Mt. Mitoku. Kannon-do Hall is located halfway up the mountain path and has a long history as the center of mountain worship. As its name implies, the main deity is Kannon Bosatsu (Goddess of Mercy), which is worshipped by visitors.
