

Okuno-in / Kiyomizu-dera
The “Okuno-in” of Kiyomizu-dera Temple is located on the east side of the main hall and is known as the place where the stage of Kiyomizu can be viewed from the front. This building was rebuilt in 1631 and is designated as a National Important Cultural Property. The Okuno-in Temple offers a panoramic view of the natural beauty of the four seasons and the city of Kyoto, and is popular with many worshippers and tourists. The area around Okuno-in is also dotted with historical buildings such as the Amida Hall and Shakado Hall, giving visitors a deep sense of the history and culture of Kiyomizu-Dera Temple as a whole.
