Yanagi-yu / Kinosaki Onsen
The “Yanagi-yu” of Kinosaki Onsen is the smallest of the out-spa baths, but is well known by many for its elegance and warm atmosphere. Its name comes from the fact that the water gushes out from under a willow tree transplanted from the famous Chinese scenic spot, West Lake, and is known as “the hot spring for safe childbirth and child bearing. The building is inspired by the modern Japanese design of the Taisho and early Showa periods, and the interior is characterized by the warmth of the wood. The bathtub is deep and the water temperature is set slightly higher. In addition, there are footbaths at the front and back of the Yanagi-yu, each of which can be used free of charge.
